Growing Expertise from the Inside Out: A Look at Younium’s Learning Program 💡
Our goal at Younium is simple: to make sure every decision, whether big or small, ultimately serves our customers with the best possible product. To ensure this, we launched an internal learning program to give every colleague a deep understanding of the subscription business, empowering them to make smarter decisions every day.
In this article, you will meet Terese, the designer of the program, who shares how Younium’s investment in continuous learning helps us stay true to our mission and be the best possible partner for our customers.

🧠 Why is learning and development a priority at Younium? 🧠
At Younium, we see subscription expertise not as the responsibility of a few specialists, but as the foundation for everyone. Whether you work in a customer-facing role or in a more internal function, having a deep understanding of subscription business models, and the needs of our customers, is key to making the most impactful decisions at every level. This company-wide learning initiative was designed to align and share knowledge across all teams. The goal is for every employee to become their own version of a subscription expert within their field, to support our shared mission: provide B2B companies with a single platform to operate, develop, and expand their servitized business globally.
🌟 Was there a particular highlight of the program for you? 🌟
One of the most rewarding aspects of the program was seeing how cross-functional groups came together. Teams were intentionally mixed, for example, developers working alongside People & Culture colleagues, which sparked new conversations and fresh perspectives. Seeing people collaborate across teams, share insights, and learn from one another created such as good energy.
💬 What feedback did you receive from the participants? 💬
Overall, the feedback on the program has been very positive. Designing it came with its challenges, since the level of subscription expertise varied between roles, so I was especially glad to see such encouraging responses. Many colleagues really appreciated the different learning formats like videos and quizzes which kept the program dynamic and engaging. Some participants wished the sessions could be held more often or dive even deeper, but the most common takeaway was how valuable the program was in providing a broader perspective and deepening existing knowledge.
Thank you, Terese, for an amazing first cycle of the learning program, and thank you for sharing your insights on it. We’re already excited to see what you have in store for us in the second cycle! 💫
