Linus is born and raised in Lund, and lived abroad (Spain and Norway) for a few years before settling in Malmö where he now feels at home again. Linus has been at Younium since December 2021 and working as a developer mainly with our external API. 

Where is your favorite place you’ve ever visited? 

That would be Mexico. I went there in transit but ended up traveling around for a few months. Fantastic people and culture and I think it was especially nice because I didn't have any expectations. 🇲🇽

Your favorite Disney character? 

Thomas O'Malley from the Aristocats. Everybody wants to be a cat, right? 😼

What is your favorite song of all time? Why?

 As a musician, I love too much music to answer that but I'll give you three really good ones: Just like a woman - by Nina Simone (A Dylan cover), Mother - by Highasakite, and I ain't got nobody (for real) - by Sly & the family stone.

Do you have any fears? 

Standing in a non-moving line. The patience and not knowing when it ends are horrific, don't even want to think about it.

What would you bring to a deserted island?

I'm a handy person so I'd bring a knife so I could build stuff. 

Name a fun fact about yourself.

I currently hold the prestigious position of office plant manager in the Malmö office. 🥇🪴

What skills would you say is important to be successful in your role?

Apart from having an interest in code, technologies, and problem-solving, It is important to have a good holistic understanding of our domain and where our product fits in.

Name something you are passionate about.

I always have some creative hobbies like painting, playing music, or carpentry. But apart from more practical things, I have a real fascination for plants and animals from sharks to pines. Love a good nature documentary! Last week I learned about the Ethiopian wolf. To sum it up and maybe tie it to my work role, I really enjoy exploring how things function and what makes them work. Whether this is an animal's behavior, a musical composition, or a system application. 🦈🐺🧑🏼‍💻🎨🎶
